Not sure where to begin but know I want to.

I always wondered what I was going to do with this site, and I guess you can say I still don't know. I want to write and share but get hung up on what I think people want to read. There was a feeling that I would just do this for myself and as I sit here and realize I haven't posted anything for over a year this is the direction I need to take.

I am still consuming information from the likes of books, audio books, podcasts, and documentaries. I love to learn and it seems there are no boundaries to what I will read or be interested in. As an example.

I've had a fatuation with sustainability lately. It's actually been on my mind for many years, but it has turned a corner and grown. Without diving right down into that rabbit hole what I will say is I started reading and experimenting with farming and renewable energy - on a micro scale of course. It is interesting and allows me to know a little bit on topics which are important and timely.

What drove me to want to learn more about this is the whole organic movement and when I found out just because something says organic doesn't mean it is truly all organic. Mind blown!! I remembered a book I read about how marketing changed everything, painting a truth people wanted to hear instead of stating the facts. That is when I wanted to learn more, not so I can boycott or protest but so I could find the products I want to buy.

There is so much crap being spewed from all directions these days. How is anyone supposed to know what is really going on unless you know something about the conversation? This isn't a shocker but I found the "information" being put on social media that resembles facts are not facts at all. Because I can't rely on this I need to find other resources to get educated and this is why I read so much.

I don't read just for research, there are some beautiful stories that inspire me and I love to digest those as well. One of my favorites is Zorba the Greek - I am reading that today and for the third time. Some books are meant to be read over and over again.

To wrap this up I hope to do a lot more writing and sharing and work through the issues that have held me back. Hopefully some of it you find enjoyable as well.
